Ally Kerr’s latest album, “True Nature,” was released on April 25th 2025. The record marks a return to his singer-songwriter roots and is his second self-produced work, following the instrumental album “Soundtracks.”
In 2025, Kerr travelled to Japan, the Philippines, and Europe, and returned to China for a headline tour, his first there since 2019. These shows reconnected him with audiences in some of his favourite places and brought the new songs from “True Nature” to life on stage.
With a music career spanning multiple studio albums, Kerr’s work has reached listeners worldwide through features on Japanese TV and Netflix. His song “The Sore Feet Song” gained widespread recognition as the theme for the acclaimed Japanese animated series “Mushishi,” helping introduce his music to an international audience and establishing a strong connection with fans in Asia.
Blending elements of indie folk, pop, and cinematic influences, Ally Kerr is often described as "one of Scotland’s best-kept musical secrets". Following the release of “True Nature” and his 2025 live dates, he is currently working on new material.
