from oban last weekend to london this weekend. i'm off there tomorrow so if anyone reading this is around the north of the city then come along to the good ship in kilburn! i'm doing the set with paul and we'll be on at 8.30pm sharp apparently. it's going to be very a hot ticket. it's almost thirty degrees in the big smoke you see. i've got a couple of films to watch on the way down (and back) - orson wells' adaptation of the trial, the monkees plus i have some 'new' music to listen to. my ears are giddily flapping around in anticipation already and will be treated to fleet foxes, david shrigley's 'worried noodles' double cd compo, more bonnie prince billy, gonzales's new one and the deluxe edition of the whiskytown album stranger's almanac. i'm excited.
i'm also a bit excited coz i recorded a b-side this week for the next single which should (all being well) be out around mid september. i really wasn't sure which song i should record as the b-side coz i've been building up quite a few and i've been putting certain ones in my third album list, but i got decisive and chose one and i'm really pleased with the result. we'll give it an airing tomorrow night at the gig.
right, i'm off now to the kitchen to assess the onion situation. you can't be too careful.
