this is me and my luminous egg.

i think i have insomnia.
uh oh. i'm slipping into my old, bad ways. my first post of 2006 and it's nearly february. happy new year:)
i guess i've been creative and full of ideas lately. my tracklisting for the next album seems to be constantly evolving as i write more songs. i've been really excited about two songs i've written recently. one hasn't got a title but it's a really new picking style i learned (and mentioned before) and the other is a strummy, pretty catching and emotive (hopefully) number called 'i think i'm bleeding'. a good sign for me is that i love to pick up my guitar and start singing them, so these will definitely appear on the next record. but that means i might lose another two i thought would be on it!i also started playing an old song to chris and he liked it and i thought okay, this could be on the next album too. i had never really written words to it so i've done that.
but it's got me thinking about songs i've dismissed or never written lyrics for that exist in my head only, or very roughly recorded into my mp3 player or minidisc. so the other day we recorded this old song (called 'be the one') and i'm so happy with how it's sounding. one day i'll dig into the vault and start pulling out these older songs and hopefully capture them on tape properly. i'm so indecisive when it comes to my own songs and what is good/bad/better/worse. i find it very tricky to know. i probably drive people nuts with my indecisiveness. i drive myself nuts so i expect others to feel the same.
my record label in the uk (neon tetra records) are releasing a download-only single from my debut album. it's going to be the song 'without you' and the release date is currently set at the 27th of february. i think this makes for a good choice and hopefully i'll be doing some gigs around then. if u have 79p spare then please buy it. it's cheaper than 4 minced beef crispy pancakes and has much more nutritional value. i need the money more than findus too.
i will write more soon. i'll watch a documentary called "the afghan ladies' driving school" shortly. i can't remember reading a better tv title than that. apart from mushishi of course. oh, speaking of that wonderful tv show you can still buy the single here ;)
http://www.towerrecords.co.jp/sitemap/CSfCardMain.jsp?GOODS_NO=901697&GOODS_SORT_CD=101shameless i know, but i have to eat and i'd prefer it to be more healthy than frozen meat-encrusted breaded 'pancakes'. but fish is pricey and three mixed peppers are £1.49. good, fresh food is expensive. you can get a frozen dinner for 99p! tastes vile though.
i think i'll have some toast now. you know where you stand with toast. i notice that white (but contains wholemeal) is very popular. i was in the supermarket and i was observing trolleys. see, this is why i shouldn't write so much. i go off on a tangent. do u ever remember when 'mighty white' bread was exciting?
i'll go now. sayonara.
