it's been a while since i last blogged. well, just over a week, but in cyberspace that's a long time. my email has gone all strange on me and i'm not receiving any. or maybe it's working fine but no one wants to communicate with me! i've dropped off the radar. i'm supposed to be doing various things just now (boring, organisational things) that i just can't seem to get round to doing. i'm one of life's great procrastinators i think. but i do get things done in the end, when i need to. i always leave everything to the last minute but it seems to work out for me that way. necessity is the mother of invention apparently and that's definitely how it is for me. as i type this, chris is apparently weaving some web magic and trying to get some video clips sorted out. he's doing something constructive and i must follow his example. once i've had some tea first of course. oh and once i've looked up the weather in barcelona on the 'net. and had a pear too. need energy.
what the hell is going on with british tv. 'cosmetic surgery live' on channel 5?!? watching some woman getting her flaccid bits tightened live via satellite link from hollywood is entertainment? gross. some guy called terry having his buttock fat pumped out and the bits deposited in a tub like chicken gibblets. no thanks. even worse is that vanessa feltz is on the telly. has tv reached a new low?? why do all plastic surgeons look plastic. i guess that's quite obvious really, coz they're self medicating. i'm not sure i can ever cut the fat off a rump steak now. i'm sure i'll get 'nam style flashbacks to this show.
the winchester club is great. we had a good night playing there on saturday. it's fun to play in a place that you frequent regularly as i said last time with the bar brel gig. on friday i went to the 'little league' night at the raf (royal air force) club, it's like an old social club for ex-army servicemen and downstairs is taken over by some people playing some good music as part of this night. there's only going to be one more 'little league' sadly. it's a shame coz it's such an unusual place to go to and has some interesting pictures of spitfires and nicotine-stained photos of the queen from decades ago hanging on the walls. such character.
oh no. feltz the presenter has just asked 'what did you do to terry's buttocks?'. it's time to go to bed. i can't believe i've not turned the tv off as i type this. people are sending in mobile phone pics of their body parts to see if they need surgery. i think every one of them needs a lobotomy. including me for not swtiching off sooner.

i wrote a new song last night, it's provisionally called 'off the radar'. i wonder how it'll turn out? it's not quite done yet. it's weird coz i knew i was going to write a song last night, i can't really explain why. i just had that feeling. then it arrived. i'm happy coz it's a strummy one and not a picking one.
the gig at bar brel was maybe the most fun one yet. can't wait to play again :)
