There's a new journal section on the site you can have a look at if you're bored. Ta.

3rd June 2003

I'll be doing an acoustic set (well with some guitar, harmonica, harmonies and maybe piano if I'm nice to Chris) at 13th Note Cafe in Glasgow on Sunday 8th June with The Owsley Sunshine and The One Who Flew. I'll be on first after 8.30pm.

21st May 2003

Me and the band will be on stage at 9.30pm on Thursday at Paisley Uni to raise money for a cancer charity. The stripped down acousticy gig at Nice 'n Sleazies in Glasgow is on Sunday and features theonewhoflew and littleboylost. The running order will be decided on the night but I will post a starting time up very soon in case you're wanting to come along. I'm looking forward to doing a couple of new songs at the show. Post a message about anything you like in the messageboard or just say hi. I've been posting a bit today about ants. Don't ask.

18th May 2003

Okay, two gigs coming up. First is a band gig at Paisley Uni, on Thursday 22nd February. Second is an acousticy set at Nice 'n Sleazies on Sunday 25th May. It's a bank holiday on the Monday. As usual if you want more info just email me or post a message on the board. I had a great night supporting Focus at the Barfly on Thursday night, really fun gig. Thanks to those who came up and were asking about the music at the end of our set. Really hopeful of getting the debut album out soon.

12th May 2003

Ta to those who gave me and the band support last night.

8th May 2003

Hello. Well there's a last minute gig of sorts happening at King Tuts this Sunday 11th, me and my band will be playing a 20 minute set as part of the T Break heats, 6 bands in all. Early kick off, maybe around 7.30pm I think. It's such short notice but it'll be fun I'm sure plus I get to see another 5 bands for nowt .Oh, quick plug for the gig with Focus on the 15th at the barfly and one at paisley uni on the 22nd with Stylus Automatic and The Ravelles.

1st May 2003

So there's a gig at Glasgow Barfly on the 15th of May, supporting cult Dutch prog rockers 'Focus'. Should be interesting. An acoustic gig follows at Nice 'n Sleazies on 25th May. Oh and there's a Paisley gig sandwiched in between. I'll write more about that soon.. I've been lucky enough to have a Scottish artist called theonewhoflew help me with guitar and harmonies for the forthcoming live shows. If you can, go listen to his own songs coz they're great.

15th April 2003

I had a great weekend recording two more songs in the studio with a wonderful, talented bunch of people. I'm really excited about the tracks and I really want to try and get them out there somehow soon. There will be a band gig on the 15th May at the Barfly in Glasgow, it's a support slot for a touring band. I'll post more details once I know more myself. And there will be a stripped down, sort of intimate acoustic show at Nice 'n Sleazies in Glasgow on 25th May with two other local acts. Again I'll post more when I know more. It's hot outside and it's confusing me coz it's only April, but I'm not complaining coz the sun just gives people energy and a positive lift and I need some of that coz I feel quite exhausted. I wouldn't mind being near the warm sea with some Stan Getz playing and a large pineapple by my side. And a bucket filled with ice cold Becks and curly wurlies. Can anyone help?

10th April 2003

I'm currently plotting some more gigs and will be recording the first material since the Midst of the Storm EP at the weekend. And not before time too. You can buy the current EP from me directly as well as the places listed in the 11th Feb entry. I'll post more details of gigs once they're sorted.

1st April 2003

I've just been asked to do an acoustic set at the Universal Bar in Glasgow this Friday (4th April) supporting Lexxi. Some more details about the whole thing at www.acousticaffair.co.uk or email me.

27th March 2003

I think I've got over my creating stupid pictures phase, so now to the music. If anyone lives in Glasgow, can play cello and is interested in playing a live gig then please email me! It's a long shot huh? But what the hell. If anyone can play keyboards well then email me please. Hell why don't I just become the Polyphonic Spree 2, that would be great. Get lots of people involved and loads of instruments playing my songs. That would be so much fun. But how do they survive? When they play towns they must spend so much money on rooms, taking over entire hotels or something. Anyway, they're playing T in the Park, as are the glorious Flaming Lips. I'm getting distracted now. What should I be plugging. Okay, the vinyl EP, few copies still available. Can buy them direct from me now too as well as the places listed further down the news section. Scroll down if interested. Oh, they'll be available to buy in Monorail in Glasgow as of Saturday too.

25th March 2003

Here's another picture I've made, completely non music related but there will be proper news soon, I promise! Apologies to those who don't get these references, it's quite a British thing. Oh and excuse my foul language, I'm usually a really polite soul. Wait, here's some decent news, I'll be recording new material in the studio on the weekend of April 12th and 13th

22nd March 2003

Here's what I've made recently. Especially for Gail Tilsley fans. Hope no one takes offence. Pic 1, Pic 2, Pic 3

14th March 2003

It's short notice, but I've been asked to do an acoustic set at Stereo (Kelvinhaugh Street in Glasgow) this Wednesday (19th March), opening for a couple of bands. It's a fundraising gig and will only be a few pounds. Should start any time around 8pm and I'll definitely be on first.
